In response to the lack of job opportunities in Africa, YHA has developed a social entrepreneurship program that allows youth to gain basic entrepreneurship skills through our Bizz Nest where they are given an opportunity to compete for seed money to start their businesses
YHA has been involved in data collection and providing youth research assistants for various research studies. These include research studies in HIV and AIDS, TB, COVID-19, etc.
Youth Health Africa (YHA) is a youth-focused organisation addressing key social determinants of health and Youth Unemployment through various integrated and innovativeinterventions. YHA’s flagship program is a one-year Skills Development Program, integrated with HIV Testing Campaigns, Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) Prevention Programmes, Youth Testing Teams, Adolescent and Youth Friendly Services (AYFS) Support and Digital Media Campaigns.
Through focusing on the two-abovementioned issues, we develop masses of African youth to become Employable, Empowered and Healthy. YHA operates across South Africa with a national footprint and currently has impacted over 2300 youth while actively transforming their communities. Ultimately, YHA aims to work across the African continent empowering and leveraging Africa’s current and further anticipated youth boom.
